About Me

If science, in whatever form it takes, doesn't reach and impact people, then it hasn't done enough. This belief shapes everything I do.

From the start of my journey, I've carried one question with me: How can I make impact? How can I use my God-given gifts, talents and experiences to leave the world better than I met it? Along the line, I've come to realize that impact isn't a destination you arrive at but something you intentionally build as you go. So, I've committed myself to lifelong learning and growing as an innovative problem solver and opportunity creator.

At the center of it all is God, who guides and shapes each step I take.

Today, my work spans biomedical research, innovative leadership and community impact. I am building an expertise in genomic medicine, bioinformatics and cancer research to address African health challenges, while partnering with organizations to transform complex data into insights that drive better decisions. These interests have also led me to collaborate with researchers and organizations across four (4) continents, communicate science to diverse audiences and help build initiatives that quietly (and sometimes loudly) impact lives.

Outside research, you'll probably find me designing something, baking cakes that are equal parts engineering and art, singing (mostly choral & classical pieces as a countertenor) or playing the recorder. For me, creativity is not a distraction from science, it sharpens how I think and solve problems. It also significantly boosts my resilience and attention to detail. The same level of patience and resilience I demonstrate when building a 3-tier cake from scratch, I bring to the lab.

As God continues to guide my journey, I'm committed to helping shape an Africa where scientific excellence is pioneered and discoveries made on the continent improve lives across the world.
